Dec 05, 2008 How to play Call of Duty: World at War Co-op LAN with Hamachi 05Dec08. This post is for the people that wants to play Call of Duty: World at War Coop mode over the Internet with their friends (using Hamachi). Call of Duty, Call of Duty 5, Call of Duty: World at War, COD5, COD5WAW, Coop. If there's anything you need, ask the admin at those servers. They are really helpful and love CoDWaW. They work hard to keep WaW going. These are not crouch-only servers or those 100+ bot servers out there. These are all normal, regular servers and the only modded server is Zombies Co-Op.
The following steps are the least you'll need to do in order to play most games:How the metrics and the Hamachi properties should look like in Vista.1. After installing Hamachi, run it once and insure you've configured your firewall properly and have set port forwarding on your router(s) (if you have one).2. Re-prioritize your network adapter order:For XP/2000: Start Control Panel Network Connections, then, on the menu bar, click Advanced Advanced Settings and put Hamachi at the top of the list. For Vista: Start Control Panel Network and Sharing Center, then, on the left side panel, click on 'Manage Network Connections'. Now press Alt, click on Advanced Advanced Settings and put Hamachi at the top of the list.3.
Configure the gateway and metrics:In Network Connections right click on Hamachi Properties, select TCP/IP(v4) Properties Advanced. Ensure that the default gateway is 5.0.0.1, if not, then add/edit it and set its metric to Automatic (this is the Gateway Metric).Below 'Default gateways' tick 'Automatic metric' (this is the Interface Metric).Quick notice: Some users have reported that their internet connection fails when Hamachi is turned on. Removing the Hamachi gateway (5.0.0.1) should resolve the problem.
It is not known why this is happening, but it might be the ISP's fault. Entering a Gateway Metric manually (for example, the default '1500') can restore the internet connection, but gaming functionality may still not be available.4. If you're running Vista disable TCP/IPv6 (untick it in the Hamachi properties)5. If you're running Vista ensure that Hamachi appears in the 'Network and Sharing Center' as a 'Private Network'.If it doesn't, then press customize (at Hamachi, of course) and set it to 'Private Network'.6. Create/Join a Hamachi network and check to see if you can ping/chat with one another. If either one of these don't work ensure you haven't forgotten anything and check again. Still not working?
Check section 3.1 and 3.2 of the 'Advanced Guide' below.8. The game host must be running Vista when playing with XP users!I managed to get co-op working by:1.

This needs to be stickied, because I'm sure many people will run into this problem. 1337 you truly are 1337, thanks brother! I have a similar problem too I followed your steps 1337, but my problem is when i host with win7 people can see my game that have vista or xp, but if the other person has win7 they cant see my game, or if the host is running win7 and I am on win7 I can see his game or sometimes it shows up but when you try to connect it says game session no longer available. Both pc's have lanfix 1.5 and running latest version of hamachi also tried the older version as well with no luck, have no problems connecting to games when i host with XP and the other pc is on win7. Firewalls are disable as well other games that I play on hamachi are fine.
I also ran games as admin, please help, thanks in advance. Second make sure all of you can ping each other.
Also make sure the other people that have windows 7 also follow those steps, then have them host the game again and try connecting. I and the other person has windows 7 x64 ultimate (7600)RTM, I myself also have xp pro sp3, and we all have the same hamachi version. Both pc's ran wthout firewalls host and client.
The wierd thing is that If i use xp and the other person is on windows7 I can host and he can host and we can both connect to each other but if we both use windows7 I cant see any games if he hosts and he cant see any games if i host. Both using same lan fix, running as admin. The problem may then have to be hamachi, many people reported this error. You could try wippien, it is like hamachi in sense.
