- For Fallout 3 on the PlayStation 3, a GameFAQs Answers question titled 'How do you actually use the FOOD SANITIZER?'
- Threats Other Fallout 3 Guide. Post Comment. If you decide to rely also on food, you should focus your efforts on acquiring a food sanitizer from Moira. You can also consider choosing a Lead belly perk. The results will be significant, because you'll receive 50% less radiation.
So I finally beat the game (but haven't explored fully) with no mods other than things like fellout. I installed FWE and MMM along with all the required mods to get them working properly. Took the scavenger starting option with points into energy weapons, lockpick and repair which I thought would be fitting and fun to roleplay.
On the way to Megaton, I ran into a hive of bloatflies! Running around with my knife, I dispatched them in short order. Noticed a red blip that I decided to go check out (big mistake). I found a dead chinese guy with a sword (awesome!) and a dirty jumpsuit (yay small guns buff).
Fallout 3 Mods
Look for the Super-Duper Mart on your map, which is located slightly NE from Megaton. Be on the lookout for any enemies outside the building, then go over to the eastern side of the building. Check the dead wastelander nearby for some loot: JOHN'S KEY, WASTELANDER NOTE, MENTATS.
That red blip turned out to be 7 raiders waiting for me around the corner, two who just happened to have flamers.:ahhh: The sprint mod saved me. This sword is awesome.
Finally got a laser pistol from the grocery store of doom. I kept having to shoot in the general direction of the raiders since I couldn't hit anything with the.32 revolver I had, then hide behind the walls near the entrances with the nuka cola machines and hack them to death when they would run around to get me. Freakin awesome and very realistic, least to my mind.
Of course I can't hit anything at level 2 with no small arms training. That sword has saved me so very many times. On a side note, my AP is very low. It isn't filling back up for some reason. I thought it had to do with me carrying so much, so I sold my junk and put my extra bullets/guns in my house. I still have no AP regen. Tried sleeping for 24 hours as well.:confused:Yeah I really enjoy this mod aswell, I picked the raider faction and im like 50 hours in, its an up that raider controlled places are friendly, but its a down that outcasts, BoS, and some Rivet City guards are hostile.
Its all balanced tho.Posts: 3522 Joined: Sat Jul 21, 2007 1:51 am. Should mention that 2.1 is coming along pretty well. Jjgun is working on fixing the follower scripts since they were not working very well before. Most of the other changes are place.
I'm touching up a few things, continuing to test, and hopefully mid-week we'll see a release.Post 2.1 next steps will be the support patches for Point Lookout + Mothership Zeta, along hopefully with FOOK. Antistar has also made the models for many more of the classic fallout weapons (woot!), but I need to create all the weapon forms and what not for that still. If there are other bug issues, tweaks, etc. You can think of in the next few days, let me know! Thanks.Posts: 3476 Joined: Mon Oct 09, 2006 2:53 pm. If there are other bug issues, tweaks, etc.
You can think of in the next few days, let me know! Thanks.I am playing FWE for some time and some things are still not ballanced (especially quantities of money like in vanilla).1. Portable grill and water purifier are soon useless when used radiation suit + food sanitizer.
A little more radiation from food and drink is not worth to using them at all (it's takes so much micromanagement and time to use them). Especially when you can loose your rads with my first infirmary for free.2. Too many chems you can find in boxes and First-aid kits. I am simply flooded by all kinds of chems. They should be very rare! Now I can sell 90% of them.3.
The same problem with money surplus like in vanilla. I am on level 10, have 45 barter points (with trader outfit and beer) and have 8.500 caps. Which are almost useless.
After visiting a few locations I can can buy all the bullets from traders and still have surplus.I know where the problem is. The higher ammo prices are very good. You are finding not too much of them in boxes now. So player is forced to buy it at traders. Alternatively i am using rock-it-luncher and shishkebab very often to save my ammo.
(i never did that in vanilla). But the prices of weapon are much too high. It's even worse ballanced then in vanilla. After some playing you have every kind of weapon in many quantities. (you have weapons but not too much ammo for them). If the weapon is so common and could be repaired by scrap metals, chessboards, cruches and others small valuable things their price should be cut even 4-5 times.
Now I can find very destroyed 5 mm machine gun (worth 20-50 caps) and repair it to 1000 caps (100% repair is easy with clothes, workbench, mentats and amphetamine) by using some scrap metals or iron worth 1-3 caps.So in my opinion most of the common weapons should be very cheap. Only a 2-3 times more expensive then scraps with you can repair it. With prices ballance which is now I can spawn money like crazy. 6 scrap metal + dead machine gun and I have about 1000 base worth weapon. Which in reality is very poor choice, becouse after firing a few boxes of ammo, this weapon is already dead.If someone is telling thet weapon after atomic war should be rare and cost a lot, then think about Pakistani Kalashnikovs made in home factories worth today 25 - 100 $. Or prices of Chinease copies.
Ok this is a game - not reality, but it should be ballanced.By the way you can raise prices of spare parts and ammo instead, but this way is not good in my opinion. Alternatively mayby is better to back to vanilla: weapon could be reparable only by parts of other weapon not by crutches, scrap or chessboards. Game is much easier then vanilla, when player can produce 100% healthy weapons to use oneself and sell (like small factory).4. FIX needed: prices of ammo. Ammo 7.62 x 51 mm for one of the best weapon which is FN Fall is not listed in Fo3 Wanderers - main file.esm.
The price of 1 cap from Calibr mod is used instead. You must check all prices, becouse other bullets could have the same problem.
As is now 7.62x51 ammo is cheaper then 5.56.Please re-think in game money ballance and weapon not reparable by scraps. It's the most important thing in my opinion to fix.
Mod should make game harder then vanilla, not easier. Making game more complicated is not always better.Anyway mod is superb and very challenging. I am simply flooded by all kinds of chems. They should be very rare!1: I believe purified water, and grilled meat is more nutritious (don't have to eat/drink as much to get full)2: Alot of chems are still being made by wastelanders (Jet, for example, is fairly new, as shown in fallout 2)Posts: 3554 Joined: Sun Jun 10, 2007 5:55 am. But if I have a lot of food trom rats, buterflies etc. And radiation suit + food sanitizer, is not worth to spend so many time to produce better food. Especially when all rads you can loose in My first Infirmary. I sold both these items as useless for me.Ok, I am not talking about traders stocks.
When you need it you can buy it. But too much of them are in old, before war boxes and aid kits.
As it is now I don't know what to do with such amounts of them. Lets imagine, that most of old supplies was already taken by someone which have sense.3358 Joined: Fri Feb 16, 2007 6:01 amDisplay posts from previous: Sort.
