This is a small mod that adds an NPC called 'Subdued Berserker to the Sadrith Mora, Wolverine Hall Fighter's Guild. He has for sale a weapon I made called the 'Berserker Axe'. The Axe looks like a Daedric Battleaxe, but it swings faster and has a nice 'Berserker' enchantment.

HeyI 'just' created my very first warrior/berserk character in Morrowind. While having finished the game with thieves, assasins, mages etc. Several times, I never really played some mad warrior with a two handed weapon.Today I finished the last Morrowind Guild and the Main Quest and I will turn to Bloodmoon and Tribunal. While I found many extremly potent one handed weapons (e.g.
Sunder), I didn't find any great two handed weapons with a 'passive enchantment'. I don't really like weapons such as the Daedric Crescent, because they are annoying ot recharge and reflection will become a major issue, but moreover I couldn't even find a two handed weapon that is nearly as potent as an one handed weapon + shield?Did I miss anything or will my (yet unenchanted, but soon to be enchanted) deadric warhammer stay my weapon of choice?PS:I won't use one handed + shield. Some kind of role play decision.
And that's the point:There are so many great one handed weapons available in the game, while strong two handed weapons are seldom to be found.Ice Blade of the Monarch (nice damage, very low charge)Chrysamere (Only strong if you regulary use the enchantment)Stendarr's Hammer (best base damage value)Umbra ( good for collecting souls)Daedric Crescent (super stylish, nice enchantment, low base damage)All of them are nice, but to me they appear weak compared to the one handed + shield combination. To be honest I was never a fan of passive enchantments on weapons. Pretty much any passive benefit you want can be done via enchanted armor, clothing, and jewelry. There are so many spots.
However the weapon is your one chance to actually add to the damage you deal. Absorb health is an excellent weapon enchantment. Paralyze is good too. If you want your 2h weapon to 'seem' more powerful you could enchant it with drain fatigue to knock enemies over more often, but I don't know how useful that is compared to absorbing their health.tl;dr You have plenty of equipment slots for passive boosts.
I'd use your single weapon spot for offensive capability. 2H weapons do more damage, but they are slower. I don't know of any 2H weapon with a really significant constant effect enchantment, comparable to those on Sunder or Keening. Without dual wielding available, there is really nothing to do with that other hand.
You can just leave it empty-practicality is not the only concern. If you want a weapon enchantment that doesn't suffer from reflect issues, a custom on-strike with absorb health works, or calm, or restore health on self. But even there, the best custom enchantable weapon is a one-handed ebony scimitar with 80 points of room. I never did see the point of 2H weapons. For me, the main draw of 2-handed weapons is their high 'peak' damage.
It's a little known mechanic in the game, but highly-damaging weapons will 'stun' enemies more often (force them into animations that leave them open to attack.) For example, when you hit an NPC so hard that they fall to their knees, or causing a Steam Centurion to go off balance for a moment. That's why it's rare to cause a stagger with a short blade.Personally, I use 2-handed weapons. I'd rather cause a good stagger and get my hits in without fear of retribution - even if I swing a little slower.
Because what's the point if you kill an opponent faster, but also take way more damage every fight?I thought that I'd once read something indicating higher weapon weight also being a contributor to stagger chance, but I can't find it again, so maybe I'm wrong.TL;DR Daedric Battle Axe all day err day.
