So I was playing today and realized that this game would be the perfect paltform for a Warhammer 40k Mod.The could already function as a Warhammer 40k game with some imagination.So just from my experience so far I can see the a total conversion mod working something like this (just spitballing ideas here)The World - The world with all its radiation and war torn nature could work very well as a Imperial World being warped by Chaos. The radiation can be seen as the spread of chaos and more specifcally Nurgle's rot.

All the mutant creatures we currently see could be changed (with a lot of mod magic) to being the spawns of chaos. Probably with a Nurgle flavor to fit the nurgle's rot/radiation theme. Perhaps use more gothic looking buildings in the area to give the impression of a fallen Imperial World.Character: I would think character creation would be where you also pick your faction. Different starting location, relations, gear and quests. You are locked into this faction however.

Conversion of WH40K Bolters, Bolt Pistols and lasguns from FNV for use in FO4. Also adds in other weapons from the 40K Warhammer era for use in FO4. Included are some melee weapons based very minimally on 40K. Use existing assets in FO4 and from the mod The Elder Swords and retextured them. General: This is a release version. I can imagine a ton of repeatable quests just like the ones we currently have in game as well as being able to have greater NPCs follow you in these quests or follow existing npc squads into battle.Brotherhood of Steel = Space Marines. The power armor in this game is the absolute near perfect format for Space Marine armor. Throw in how the Brotherhood of steel function and appear in the game it wouldnt be a very big stretch at all to turn them into the Emperor's Finest!Institute = Eldar - Secretive and uses high tech weapons. The institute would make for an excellent eldar proxy as their role and function in game would go closely with that of the eldar.Super Mutants = Orks - WAAAAGGGHHH!!!

Warhammer 40k Space Marine Mods

They are mean and they are green. Slap in some voice mods and ork skins and boom! You got yourself a 'rite proppa WAAAAAGGGHHHH!!' Who have come to the planet looking for a fight. I would give them more meele weapons on average though.Ghouls = Nurgle's zombies - Citizens of the Imperial World who have been forever warped by the touch of Nurgle.Gunners = Traitor Guardsmen - Former Imperial Guard who have devoted themselves to dark gods. Throw in some power armor wearing ones to function as Chaos Space Marines and you have a party!Raiders = Not really sure what to do with these guys. Perhaps lump them in with the Gunners?Minutemen/Friendly settlements = Loyal Imperial Guardsmen still holding the line.Then there are all of the minor factions or ones with not enough presence to function.So theres just some spitball ideas of possible factions.

Imagine the game with all of these factions being reskinned to look as above with proper sound files. Just some basic ideas here.TLDR: WAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!So what do you guys think of these ideas? What changes would you make and what are your ideas for a Warhammer 40k mod for this great game?

What specific things would you want for each faction? Now I wonder which chapter the space mariens would be. I would just go with that the world the mod takes place on would be a war torn world where most of the Imperial forces have broken meaning you have the shattered remains of space marine strike forces from various chapters scattered about the world.

This allows variety and gives the player the ability to paint their power armor to whichever chapter they want.I know though I would probably end up playing an Ork. Bash heads together, work my way up the ranks in a progression focused quest system and lead the Orks to victory. I would suggest the possibility of more of a reskin, so that Charname is exactly as he is in the game - former army, to wit, Imperial Guard.

But his son is stolen, etc etc all events exactly as portrayed currently, and Charname chooses which faction will get him his son or get him vengeance or fit his new idea of the world, etc.And then additionally have a mode where you pick faction, etc.The only thing with story mode though. What the heck faction would the Railroad be??
